When we come across the case of Ann’s apartment, we feel exhilarated with its distinctness and distinctiveness. Ann’s Apartment
Ann’s apartment is situated in an apartment building in Moscow, Russia. The 11-story brick building features 3-meter high concrete ceilings, which predefines the usable height for Ann’s apartment. After renovation in 2019, the height of space for activities is limited at 2.3 meters, roughly the level of the outstretched arms of a tall person.
In terms of space, Ann’s apartment covers an area of 50 square meters. Despite a small-sized apartment, it looks quite spacious with combined bedroom, living room and kitchen areas which can be isolated as a single unit upon necessity. The Distinctness and Distinctiveness of Ann’s Apartment
There is no available source allowing us to relish a story unfolding before us like previous cases, given to the scale and influence. However, for a small dwelling of equal size, Ann’s apartment is distinct and distinctive on its own way in two dimensions. First is the involvement of the architects. The Design of Ann’s Apartment
Thanks to the design by the architects SKNYPL, the little cozy dwelling space looks far more spacious than it actually is and full of contemporary feelings. It is mainly achieved through the agile stainless steel partition, the theme of this article for which we will reserve a dedicated paragraph. Unignorable is also the smart design in other details, such as creating built-in furniture, introducing as least facing materials as possible to avoid cluttering, adding a feeling of new and fresh space by the homogeneous use of clean white color on either floors or walls of kitchen, bathroom, hall way, bedroom and living room.
